Looks like this cycle is likely a bust. Started spotting pink just now and, sorry for TMI, from progesterone suppository applicator I can see some red. Feeling very sad.
Wondering if I should go in for my blood test anyway to see if there's any evidence that something started? I think that I will because then I will also know whether I should definitely stop progesterone/estrogen. This sucks.
I'm so sorry Kristina. I would recommend going for the blood work, there is still a part of me that thinks my first IUI had worked and then failed before I could POAS. *Hugs*
ReplyDeleteMaybe its IB? I'd either POAS or go in for the bloodwork, because the waiting for your maybe/maybe not period to fully begin has to be hell.. A blood test is not worth it, especially if you are paying out of pocket. With my last IUI that failed I went in for a beta with the same intention- they just told me it was negative. That was a big ARGH moment. Can you POAS?
ReplyDeleteLike I'm finding out, its much easier to be optimistic for somebody else than yourself. So right now, I still have some left for you, I'm hoping the red is NOT your period, and just implantation bleeding or spotting that is possible in pregnancy.
Keeping fingers, toes and everything crossed.
If you don't have to pay extra for it, I'd get the beta done. If you do, take Jay's advice and take an hpt. Another possibility is that the spotting could be caused by irritation from the progesterone suppositories.
ReplyDeleteIf it truly is AF, I'm very sorry. *hugs*
Thank you. I'm going in for the Beta and they better f'ing give me the number if there is one, even if it's 2. That would be so frustrating if they just said "negative," like they did for you Jay - totally lame. I do have coverage for most of it so that helps. I'm pretty sure my period is starting, but thank you for the optimism...
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry! I know how bad this sucks. If you do go for a beta just remember that it's anything over a 5 that shows some kind of implantation. I had a 2 once and they told me that it doesn't mean anything implanted. It's 5 and over. I guess you body natural can have traces.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michaela, that's good to know.
DeleteGo for you blood test. It could in implantation bleeding.
ReplyDeleteI was always told your period couldn't start if you're on progesterone.
ReplyDeleteYes, defintely go for beta. I never did with my IUI's and am left wondering if they could have been chemicals.
ReplyDeleteI am still holding hope though that it may be implantation.
Sending some love. I also agree with Sarah. <3
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. I often had spotting on progesterone after IUI's. :-(
ReplyDeleteYeah unfortunately you can still get your period on progesterone. I am praying it's implantation though!
ReplyDeletePraying for you!!!
ReplyDeleteThinking about you all day, Praying you got good news!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're getting a Beta draw and I'm holding out for good news. You've been in my thoughts all day.
ReplyDeleteI'm still holding out hope so we're with you in spirit when you get your beta :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I appreciate it.
DeleteI'm holding out hope that it's just irritation from the progesterone.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you!
Thanks, Shannon!
DeleteFWIW I had spotting the day I got a BFP. I thought I was getting my period and was pissed so I peed on a stick. I'm holding out hope for you and hoping that this still turns out to be the one for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you... I would hold out more hope, had not my other symptoms gone away. Appreciate your good thoughts for me though.
DeleteThank you for thinking of me, everyone! I'm touched. I did get the Beta but won't get results until tomorrow...
