Trending Towards Negative

Wish I weren't saying this, but I'm feeling a negative coming on.

Contributing factors:
  1. Tested this morning and it was:  Negative.
  2. Don't feel much of anything symptom-wise, except for backaches, likely due to the progesterone.
  3. Breasts have never felt LESS sore in a tww.
Yes, it's only 10 days post-ovulation, but I felt the twinging on Friday.  If that was implantation, wouldn't it show on a test by now?  I'll keep testing until it makes no sense to test further, though.

I'm not going to even try to do another cycle after this.  The financial stars are not aligned.  I will continue taking steps to see if I might be able to get a loan.  That would be the only development I can see right now that would allow another try in the near future (the next two or three months).

You know what I'm going to do if this cycle fails?  I'm going to get a dog.  A small, cute dog.  They say it's good practice for a child.  And one day, hopefully I'll be blessed with one of those, too.

  1. I am so sorry hun to hear about this. Praying that you still get a surprise and a positive BFP. I hate to see anyone have another failed cycle after they've been working hard to get one. Rats. BTW, I think it's a great plan to get a dog...I'm praying this cycle doesn't fail...but agree that it would be great practice for that baby I hope you get soon.

  2. I'm sorry things aren't looking good, but I'm not giving up on this cycle yet!

I think the dog idea is a great one. They're a wonderful distraction from the stress of ttc.

  3. I'm so sorry hun! I'm praying you were just too early yet. Sometimes it can take awhile for hcg to build up in your system. Still hoping for you!!
A doggie is a great idea! But I hope so much everything aligns for you to get your baby <3

  4. Oh, Kristina...I loathe the symptom watch. But I've been around blogland long enough to know that often women feel NOTHING when they get a BFP...are you scheduled for a blood test? HPTs are not usually that reliable 10dpo. Still holding out hope for you. AND...I love the dog idea, too...puppydogs make everything better.

    1. Yes, I will have a blood test on the 19th, Wednesday. Yes, it came on me suddenly that I really wanted a little dog. She will be my buddy and a comfort, I think.

  5. I felt practically nothing the cycle I got a BFP (no pulling/pinching/sore bbs/fatigue, etc) and 10DPO my test would have been stark white. It was super faint on 12DPO so hang in there.
Getting a small dog is a great idea. It will really enrich your life. I hope your finances work out to try IVF.

  6. 10dPO is WAY early - I had a negative HPT at 10dPO, and then faint at 12dPO, just like Sunflower. My beta at 14dPO was over 300. With my first pregnancy I had a negative at 12dpo, and a positive at 14dpo (and a respectable beta of 153 or something like that). So don't give up hope yet! :)

    1. Thanks Shannon - your and Sunflower's stories do give some hope. I just so don't feel pregnant.

  7. I'm still hoping for you! But if it is a BFN, you should totally get a dog. That's what my hubby and I plan to do if we keep seeing BFNs. It makes me feel about 5% better. Still a long way to go though. *hugs*
